Mete Sozen Collaboration Space
Alumnus and Professor Emeritus Mete A. Sozen (MS 52, PhD 57) made a profound, lasting impact on students and colleagues during his 65-year career in structural engineering research and education. He taught at Illinois from 1963 to 1994, when he accepted a faculty position at Purdue University. He is remembered by generations of structural engineers as a transformative and inspiring educator and a brilliant engineer. We hope this collaboration space is just the first project to honor him. Additional funding is required to fully furnish this space.
